The PBK Board is excited to announce the annual Opening Ceremony & Blackout will be held on October 14, 2017 at Klick Lewis Arena.
Since our organization has grown so much this year, it is not possible to have all of our teams play on the same day. So our Blackout will have a new format this year. We will still have many of the same fun events as in past years!
*We will kick off the day with our Opening Ceremony (yes, on the same day as the Blackout!)
*Chuck A Puck
*PBK Sled Team vs. our very own PBK Midget Team Game
I am happy to report that the DVHL game schedule for the 2017-2018 season for the Palmyra Black Knights is available and posted. Also included are many non-league games that have been slotted into your schedule already.
Travel Mites: your schedule will be developed following the Atlantic District Mite Jamboree at the end of September.
If you see anything strange, please don't hesitate to contact your team manager so they can work with me as mistakes do happen in this process.
Please note, some PBK teams have room in their home slot budget for additional non-league games. Antoine and I will work with your coaches and managers to attempt to schedule those (either as practices or games) so each team meets their game budget for the season.
Master Schedule [left navigation menu] – this provides a weekly snapshot of the PBK activity.
Multi-Schedule [horizontal menu under Team] – this provides a customizable listing of all PBK activities by the selected team(s). You can select numerous output types (Listing, Calendar-view, iCal Feed, MS Outlook) and also customize by Color by Team.
Team-Specific Schedule [horizontal menu under Team] – after selecting a specific team (i.e. PBK Travel -- SQB), you can select Schedule, Calendar, Multi-Schedule from the left navigation menu.
For those tech-savvy individuals interested in getting the PBK schedule fed to your smartphone or mobile device calendar app automatically for your favorite PBK team or teams...
open www.palmyrablackknights.org from your web browser on your device
click "Teams"... and then "Schedule"
select the team you want (i.e. "PBK Travel"... "Squirt B")
you will see a small calendar icon next to the word 'Schedule'... click it
your device should prompt you to 'Subscribe' to that particular calendar
once you are subscribed, the calendar will be pulled to your mobile device automatically. Any schedule updates made along the way should automatically flow to your device without any manual intervention by you.
As with any youth sports schedule, there may be changes along the way so please be on the look-out for future updates.
By default, all registered players and their families will receive email reminders for practices/games (approximately 48 hrs prior to the event). Emails will be sent to the active email address or addresses that were collected during the registration process. Anyone wishing to deactivate the email reminders can do so by logging into their PBK account online (same process as online registration) or by emailing
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
For those that I may not have met just yet, my name is Antoine Bergeron and I'm the new Hockey Director for PBK & Klick Lewis Arena. Our travel club already doubled in size for the upcoming season and we are looking forward to seeing the same impact with our in-house program.
As you may have noticed we expanded and improved the in-house program big time for next season. Everyone Squirt (10u) or younger will skate 2x a week for the whole season and peewee & Bantam (12u & 14u) will skate 6x a month for the whole season. We are starting our season of practices earlier than ever but we are aware that kids are playing others sports also but for the ones that can start right away, they will have a head start on their competition. One big change the PBK house players will see this season is that I will be working with each house team on a recurring basis during practice and will be placing a priority on their development.
We are projecting the following house levels/teams in the 2017/18 season...
- (multiple) house tykes teams
- (multiple) house mite teams
- (2) house squirt teams
- (1) house peewee team
- (1) house bantam team

I also have some information about next season and updates to pass along:
Uniform fittings and parent meetings will be scheduled later in the summer as we get closer to the start of the house season.
In addition to the above, there are also many clinic and camp opportunities at KLA that are open for registration for those players looking to ramp up their development over the summer. Click here for details!
Thank you for being a part of the PBK in-house program – we anticipate a fun and productive season.
PBK is incredibly excited to announce that Klick Lewis Arena has hired Antoine Bergeron as their new full time hockey director. Antoine will also serve at PBK’s hockey director and serve in the role of Director of Player & Coach Development on the PBK Leadership Team.
Antoine is a native of Valcourt, Quebec. He was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in 2000 and played professionally in the ECHL with the Reading Royals and Trenton Titans. Antoine played his Junior career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) which is regarded as one of the premier professional development leagues in North America.
After his professional playing days, Antoine has lead local youth programs in both Reading and Lancaster. Most recently, Antoine served the last 8 years as the hockey director for the Lancaster County Youth Amateur Hockey League (Lancaster Firebirds). Antoine grew that program tremendously over those 8 years into a highly respected program known for developing players, coaches, and families.
Antoine sees this new position at KLA/PBK as a huge growth opportunity at a young, successful hockey program and at a fantastic 2-pad ice rink with a wonderful sports complex surrounding it.
Antoine believes in the culture that PBK has started developing in the first 6 years and looks forward to expanding our family, community, and personal development focus for many years to come.
This announcement serves as a start of a new era for both KLA and PBK with an even more increased focus on making every player and coach better – in hockey and in life.
We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Mr. Weaver and Klick Lewis Arena for hiring Antoine and demonstrating their long term commitment to the Palmyra Black Knights.
Be on the look-out for more information in the upcoming weeks as we continue to plan the 2017/18 hockey season.
